Design Day Intensives

Slinky at Desk Drawing

What’s a Design Day Intensive?

During a Design Day Intensive, I work exclusively with you for the day, with no other distractions. This intensive approach allows you to get a whole lotta of small tasks (or one big task!) completed strategically, professionally, and most importantly, quickly!

It’s an ideal solution if you’re looking to elevate your brand or online presence efficiently without the extended timelines typically associated with design projects.

It’s often more cost-effective option than project rates, too. Win-win!

Get started now by booking in a free chat.

What can you do in a design day?

Well, almost anything! Websites, icon development, reports, brand guidelines, postcards, email signatures, company profiles, social media templates… The world really is your oyster!

You create a list and I’ll pump through it in order of priority!

Branding

The only service I discourage on design days is branding. Brand strategy and development take time, and it’s really beneficial to let ideas marinate. That being said, if you’re in a pickle with your timelines or budget, let’s chat about what we can do!or develop some sort of visual identity if you’re on a tight timeline or budget. Let’s chat!

We can complete brand guidelines, styleguides during your design days.

Content Collection

You'll get access to a custom project board for you to populate with important information I'll need ahead of your design days. Don’t worry, this isn’t a crazy-long list of questions and prompts - after all the idea of a Design Day Intensive is so that you spend less time worrying about this stuff, and more time doing what you do best!

1 hour Strategy Call

3 days before your Design Day, we'll have a one-hour strategy call. This ensures we can hit the ground running and make the most out of your day!

Your Design Day!

During your design day, you'll need to make sure you're available to provide swift feedback so we can punch out as much work as possible.

Post Design Day Support

Following our day together, you will have 30 days to email or message me with any questions that you have about the work that I completed for you.

John Molden Consulting

John Molden Consulting needed a 38 page PowerPoint developed and delivered in a short time frame.

Overall Cost: $1,500 (1 day)
Value delivered: $3,800

What we did:

In 1 design day Slinky Did It:

  • Developed a base template with font styles, colours and masterpages
  • Designed and developed a 38-page PowerPoint
  • Provided edits and updates to the finished presentation

My company recently created a new website… Sarah suggested a unique approach that we had never heard before where her entire focus is only on you and your business exclusively for full days with no phone or email interruptions.

The energy was amazing, and Sarah was extremely clear and process-driven to get our whole platform built. We launched in 8 working days, this also included the business cards, letterheads, capability statement and the complete brand style guide.

It was an incredible process, and it delivered exactly what we wanted, along with some out-of-the-box thinking.

Got questions? I got answers!

What can I achieve in a design day?

Well, almost anything! Websites, icon development, reports, brand guidelines, postcards, email signatures, company profiles, social media templates… The world really is your oyster! You create a list and I’ll pump through it in order of priority.

The only service I discourage on design days is branding. Brand strategy and development take time, and it’s really beneficial to let ideas marinate. That being said, if you’re in a pickle with your timelines or budget, let’s chat about what we can do!

It sounds great! What's the downside?

The downside is you need to be available to give feedback on the day. So if you need to consult a large team of stakeholders, a design day may not be the best fit for you.

Can I book more than one design day intensive?

Absolutely! You can book additional VIP Days if you have multiple projects or a large scope of work. Each day will be dedicated to focused, intensive work on your projects.

If I book multiple days, are they held back to back?

Generally, I do design days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I find they are mentally draining for myself and my clients, so even if we are completing multiple days, it’s good to have a break between. We can discuss the best program for your design days in our introductory call.

How much notice do you need?

Ideally, you should book in at least 2 weeks in advance, but the sooner you book in, the more likely you will nab your chosen dates. Two weeks gives you enough time to get together any content we need for the day and for us to have strategy session, which will ideally be held three days out.

I need a design day urgently!

If you need to book a day urgently, contact me and I’ll see if I can squeeze you in.

What's included?

The cost includes a full day (6-7 hours) or half-day (3-4 hours) of dedicated design work, a 1-hour strategy call, prep work, and 30 days of email support to answer any questions or fix technical issues.

How should I prepare for my VIP Day?

Once you’ve signed your contract and paid your deposit, I’ll set you up a custom project board where you can create a list of what you want to achieve and provide any content. We’ll also have a 1 hour strategy call 3 days before your design day.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Life happens! If you need to reschedule, just let me know at least 48 hours in advance, and we can find another suitable date. You can cancel your design day, but you will forfeit your deposit.

How do I book a VIP day?

Book in your free, no commitment 15 minute discovery call to get the ball rolling!

What if we don't get all the work done?

In our discovery call, I will give you an estimate of how many days your project will take. If we don’t complete all the work, we can book another day or complete the work at an hourly rate.

Are you ready to hit go?

You bring the coffee, I’ll bring the doughnuts.
